    Today we cycled into Blacksburg via Radford VA. Route 654 , the old Baltimore road was serene and a wonderful early morning view of this part of Virginia. We rode into Newbern and were engaged with the early history of this tiny mountaintop village...the homes dated to the early 19th century.     13. In CR, you say "con gusto" for "you're welcome" or "nice to meet you" and you say "perdon" for I'm sorry. A bit different from what I learned in college.

    14. Always make sure the taxi's you take have a yellow triangle with numbers in the middle. "Scam taxi's" are unfortunately a reality.

    ... over Sunday night and then head for home Monday. Joe, Kathy and Tony are heading back to Roanoke.

    We've been watching the news about the terrible weather thundering across the midwest, so we hope we can avoid it. With luck, it will all be back to normal by the time we get that far west. Our next major target location is Kansas City. So we'll see.
