Today, we went to Mesa Verde National Park. There were alot of Pueblo Indian Cliff Dwellings. I got another Junior Ranger Badge. It was my 16th! We took a long hike up and down the mountain to get to go inside some cliff dwellings. We saw a big cloud of smoke from a fire on our way home. We drove to Aztec, New Mexico

Farmington, United States eobrie16... noise. The last thing I wanted was to be broken down on the side of the road, no cell phone reception, no passing cars, and snow everywhere. But, it all worked out fine and I saw some amazing landscapes. Unfortunately, I did not get any photos of the snow because I did not want to stop :) I'm at another hotel tonight, which isn't as sketchy as the last hotel ...
Farmington, New Mexico, United States beesandtrees... keep going, after what felt an interminable period of travel we came to the gates to the National park, AND paved road. The relief felt by the travellers was palpable. The next 2.5 miles was a great run to the Information centre, it allowed us to resettle our internal organs back into some type of correct arrangement. Again the information centre was very helpful and was running a movie about this area. This area was the original centre of the development of the Pueblo ...
Bloomfield, New Mexico, United States popusa2008Day 172 Tucumcari - Bloomfield - New Mexico Today was set as a drive day with pick up groceries, our aim was to the North West corner of New Mexico. This being a place near the centre of the four corners (Four States meeting in a corner(New Mexico/Utah/Colorado/Arizona) this particular area has some magnificent natural wonders as well as contains some of the oldest Native cultures and ruins around the 800th century to 1500. The road through the ...
Bloomfield, New Mexico, United States popusa2008But getting between Zion and New Mexico was not uneventful. First, when we stopped in Kanab, UT for fuel (which had a lower diesel price), when pulling away from the pumps, the area was a little tight, and Terry turned about a foot too early, causing the left rear corner of the RV to swing out and hit the concrete post that was at the end of the pump area. It ripped off the bottom corner area below the tail lights ...

Farmington, New Mexico, United States capnredHow is it guys ? I would like to apologise to you for the poor state of my blog. I only opened it about 4 months ago, when I was in Costa Rica. It is the first time I spend so much time on a computer. I don't really use to it! Let me introduce myself quickly. I have been travelling for 15 years; I started when I was 16 years old. At that time I was only travelling for a couple of months before ...
Petrified Forest N.P, United States nomadslife... except at campsites, usually booked months or years in advance. I parked on the roadside near the entrance, where it would be convenient tore-enter the park come daylight. My Old-Timers Pass allows me free entry to all national parks. After parking I went across the highway to sit on a rock, drink a beer, and watch the Merced River plunge down the canyon. When I returned the van "El Viejo Loco" was filled with mosquitos. I climbed in, closed the window, and began a ...
