Today was a busy day in that we did some much needed cleaning, both inside and outside. Mostly the inside was a matter of sweeping. Of course I should have also steamed the floors, but didn't get around to it, so that will be something for another day.

After the Walmart run, we ate a small bite of dinner then watched some TV and relaxed. This will be our "home" for the next 9 nights. Now we plan the nitty gritty details…packing, what to do to get ready to leave, specifics to do in NYC. Excitement is ...

If you asked us before we arrived in the US what a Texas winter would be like we probably would've said something similar to Brisbane, often cool but never really freezing. Oh we're we in for a surprise because it was bloody freezing! The coldest morning was ...

It really feels like Christmas when there's little kids around, that and the 12 foot tall Christmas tree. Jack and Jake weren't up too early which was good, there were so many presents under the tree it took over an hour to get through them all. I baked lemon meringue and coconut cream pies which were very yummy, we had turkey and ham with all the trimmings and ate till we we're busting at the ...
