We leave early from the hostel and head towards Kelowna, but first a quick stop at Mcdonald's for breakfast to go.
It is a typical fall day, slightly overcast and occasional drizzle falls. The mountains tower around us and clouds hide the tops form view. We have several trails planned for today and have some concerns that the rain …
Visited with Linda and Bruce Andrews. We enjoyed the view from their balcony of three lakes in the Okanogan Valley, and toured through Linda's beautiful garden. We then explored downtown Vernon, including Polson Park, with lunch in a nice little cafe. We drove along the shore of Kalamalka ...
... great girls! We have a beautician Tamara but not sure if she will last long, she comes off with negative vibes and is yet to prove herself with her skills. We had an epic first shopping trip to Kelowna with a German fella, Marcel. He was great! It was his first shop trip so he was unprepared for what was ahead. Remy (Aus), Johno (Tweed Heads), Dave (Aus), Bree and myself all had fully loaded shopping trolleys plus booze with no where to put it. It was a big shamozel ...
We contemplated an early rise so we could see sunrise at Lake Moraine but with the long drive ahead to Kelowna we decided that we needed an extra hour or so sleep. We were still out of bed and at Lake Moraine by just before 8am and we were astounded to see so many cars and people already filling the carpark and viewing platforms. Thankfully there was still plenty of room at this stage and the water remained uninterrupted. The sun was out for another day and in retrospect probably a tad ...
... tunnel entrance to a mall, which we were sure was incorrect. One had to take a ticket to pass through, and then we tried to get out to find the correct location. Dave drives up to the automated gate and inserts the ticket stub, which indicates 1 euro is due, and only credited card accepted. In Dutch, the sign apparently said no exit, how were we to know? We saw other people in the next lane inserting tickets, gates lifting and driving through. Okay, so we thought, wrong ...

This hotel is very well located near a Walmart and also a Superstore.
We had a two room executive suite that was huge. The "living room" had a fridge, sink area, flat screen TV, a table and a large desk with lots of plug ins for electronics. Even with the sofa bed open there was lots of room to walk around. This room also had a full bathroom.
The bedroom had a king bed, flat screen TV and a full bathroom.
we were on the first floor and so it was easy to walk to the laundry room and pool (with slide), both of which were located near the lobby.
Breakfast was offered near the lobby and was the usual hotel breakfast.
