This hotel is very well located near a Walmart and also a Superstore.

We had a two room executive suite that was huge. The "living room" had a fridge, sink area, flat screen TV, a table and a large desk with lots of plug ins for electronics. Even with the sofa bed open there was lots of room to walk around. This room also had a full bathroom.

The bedroom had a king bed, flat screen TV and a full bathroom.

we were on the first floor and so it was easy to walk to the laundry room and pool (with slide), both of which were located near the lobby.

Breakfast was offered near the lobby and was the usual hotel breakfast.

... with great views of the area. They host live entertainment at their outdoor amphitheater. The problem I would have is that the stage backdrop is a fantastic view of the lake and the valley which would distract me from what would be going on down on the stage. They offered a short but good mix of wines on their tasting menu. We ended up buying their Reserve Red and Reserve Shiraz.

We returned to the coaches to walk the dogs and then drove ...

Yesterday we left Vancouver and took the one hour flight to Kelowna. We were pretty lucky with the weather in that we got some great views of the mountains.

Kelowna has a population of around 120,000 people and reminds me of the Central Otago area. Surrounded by mountains, it also has lovely lake views.

... table. I felt a bit crook so we went home at 8.30 On Sunday the girls took Amelia out for Sunday doubles at Raaks and Sams. I stayed home curled up in bed. Sad I couldn't be out with everyone! In the morning, since we had 2 pairs of skis, Bree and Amelia went for a ski. Bree managed to find a pair of boots, and it was her first time skiing, she picked it up no worries! I did a bit of work and then napped. Very fatigued and tired from numerous broken nights sleep. ... is a fun mountain with a really cool village, id say better than Big White. It is set out a lot better and has a real European village feel to it. There are pockets of accom out on their own runs where some of them make it easier to ski down to the car park and village rather than walk/drive. The facilities are also quite good with a market, bakery and several pubs.

While the village was set out better than Big White cant be said for the mountain, it ...

Margaret, Simon and Russ have been doing most of the coking which is nice, the rest of us are on clean up duty. We have spent quite a bit of time playing poker using marshmallows as chips but last night we taught Cooper to play Rummy, we didn't bring Uno which is his favorite game. Rob, Cooper and I ended up playing Old Maid and then Fish till quite late, we did have fun.
