The day turned on beautiful weather with a clear sky and a nip in the air. We were able to walk out to the end of the breakwater on the left and the one on the right which has two light sources on it. The waves were breaking on the lighthouse breakwater and the surf rolled into the shore. A person in a kayak was out in the waves enjoying the ride and later two people on stand-up jet skis came and rode the waves jumping high in the air ...

      Oct. 12th

Since we felt we were past most of the scenery that we wanted to see we decided to take the Ohio turnpike toll highway and make better time. The drive was only 4:15 hours but we were able to travel quite a distance primarily because we are out of the hills and onto a prairie landscape. We really aren't in a tourist ...

      Sunday, August 31

Since it was Sunday we planned to attend church, then see another of Ted's projects and hit the road. We planned it out on the train ride home and had a few choices 9:00am, 10:30am and 1:30pm. Ted had not attached the new hitch riser to Sparky and it turned out to be more involved than he thought. He got straight to work on it in the morning planning to hit the 10:30 church time.
