... shape. Inside was impressive in terms of architecture and scale but the exhibitions themselves, of which there were only three, were totally modern and their beauty was definitely in the eye of the beholder. An hour and a half later we were back on the bus where comments were generally scathing. We continued onto France and Biarritz after a traffic jam lasting nearly an hour, and we set ...

Jacques and Marina went to breakfast without me this morning..... I wast just too full from last night, to even consider swallowing anything before lunch time. After enjoying yet another luxurious selection of yummies, Marina was back in the room, putting her robe one, so we could adjourn to the Guerlain spa, for yet another massage. Love and miss you all!

For dinner I had chips and steak with a big bottle of coke (note from Cath: coke is NOT normal - but hey we're on holiday!). And when we walked home we tried a waffle. The waffle was hot but I liked it. I slept very well with a very full ...

... room and good meal tonight!

    FRIDAY 3rd MAY

The hardest day yet and the last really *********** the Camino before reaching Santiago. I left Villafranca early to begin the long trek over the pass at O Cebreiro. The walk starts fairly easily and then gets very steep indeed for the last 6 miles or so. It was a long hard day, and when I got to the top - O Cebreiro 1,300 metres high, I was met by coach loads of tourists who had driven up ...
