... greeted us with a picture perfect day and a stunning beach scene with mountains at both ends of the beach and yet another jam packed beach in between. It is very calm with just very slight waves coming through and a bunch of floating platforms with diving boards and slides on them about 80m off shore. They kids are going to love that. Our arrival also marked the start of their week long fiesta celebrations which we are not getting quite well drilled ...

A Special day with two Special people!
Being in the Basque area has been a wonderful experience for us, staying with Melanie and Vincent (The Basque Man from Mauleon) we have enjoyed incredible hospitality and developed a much better understanding of the Basque Culture. The passion is infectious! They took the day off to take us to Saint Pied de Luz and San Sebastian (Spain). Our first tour stop was in Saint Pied de Luz where we strolled ...

Onwards to San Sebastian, its fantastic whizzing along with the Froggies that know where they are going, Rod and I are like the kids in the car, just relaxed ...

After breakfast, Jacques went off exploring somewhere, whilst Marina and I organized our luggage for departure. Marina getting most agitated just thinking about trying to get Jacques put together. A couple hours later, Marina and I put our ...

... to Biarritz. It was very hot outside, and the first thing I did after we got our hotel room was run straight into the ocean.
Since Biarritz is on the west side of France, it's got the Atlantic ocean right ahedad of it. This is one of the things that makes Biarritz - and all of the other places in the atlantic coast - very special. Since the atlantic ocean is pretty huge, the gravitational forces of the sun and the moon actually make the sea ...
