    Como - Day 2

A travel blog entry by scottandmel on Jan 07, 2014

This morning we had a buffet breakfast at our hotel which was included with our room and then walked to the lake and enjoyed spending some time at the lakeside. We caught a train/cable car thing up the hill by Como to a little village called Brunate. We explored the village and then spent some time hiking through the woods around there. It was very …

Once at Bellargio, the boys went back to the wine store and purchased some supplies while Wendy and I has a cool drink and waited. Home again to a shared dinner of cheeses, meats etc and a reasonably early night as Roger has another ride in the morning with ...

Day trip today as weather looks a bit average for later this week. In to Como & up on the Furnicular rail car. An impressively steep climb to the village at the top of the ridge overlooking Como. Had a wander then back down & on the fast boat up the lake to Lenno. A really lovely village with a waterfront promenade leading to a peninsula with Villa Balbianello at the tip.

Wow!! What a sight absolutely beautiful. The ...
