Tomorrow, we do Strasbourg, hopefully partly by boat. My French was put to good basic use asking for the train tickets for "demain" and the guy persuaded us to have a one day travel pass for train, bus and tram for a couple of Euro ...

The lift at platform 9 was not working so we had to take the bags to the top of the stairs, then go back down for the bike. The bike carriage was already filling up but we managed to find a space. After breakfast we started looking for hotels at our next hop. After discussions about hauling our backpacks and limiting our stops, we decided on somewhere close to the railway station. At this late stage of booking our options were limited and on the expensive side. Our last planned tourist activity in Strasbourg was a visit to the Astronomical Clock in the Cathedral. Even though you can see the clock by visiting the inside of the cathedral at any time, they have "guided" ...
