          ... one on the sinking of the Lusitania called "Dead Wake" is one I think the average person would like. I directly attribute one of my bouts of depression over here to this book as I had just finished reading about the moment where it sunk. The amount of detail he is able to come up with just from reading first hand sources gives me goosebumps. Anyway, they were quick reads. Three to four hours.

          Left Domain de la Faurie about 9.30 am and took the autoroute towards Brive and then onwards towards Chateauroux where we turned off for Loches. Slight hitch leaving Loches but eventually found ourselves on the way to Saumur.

          From Saumur took the N road towards Le Man and arrived at our destination of Bauge en Anjou mid afternoon . Found our Gite with not too much problem. ...

          ... the monks who used to tend the gardens. They could plant whatever they wanted, so they decided to put themselves into the potagers as rose bushes. The low waterfall that runs through the gardens and eventually out of the castle grounds has carp that rush to the surface when they see you; they think they're going to be fed. They're just a touch on the creepy side, what with their gaping mouths.
