      Day 153: an Italian dinner

A travel blog entry by adventurenonni on Dec 19, 2013

... is not the owner, but the chef. We arrived at about 8pm, had a glass of wine and enjoyed the most delicious Italian food I have ever tasted. It was amazing!!! Marc and I had gnocchi made with with eggs instead of potatos drizzled with butter sauce, and Paul had veal with baked potatos and roasted capsicum. Alessandro sat us at a table very close to the kitchen where we could see him work and have a chat with him. It's an open kitchen. ...

After the tour a group of us went walking around and did a bit of shopping (Georgie, Sam, Mel, Lisa, Andrew, Katie, Megan, Dylan, Martin, me). Today we started off by going for a run, we ran down by the Reichstag
and around the Tiergarten park. Berlin is a very runner friendly city.
After that we headed off to the Olympic Stadium which was really cool
to see. That along with a majority of the rest of the city had to be
      repaired after the bombing ...

... thing bombed but instead it's one of the few survivors. The UK and the US armies tried as they might and managed to bomb a nightclub, an embassy, a church and sadly, the only elephant at the zoo. Apparently, it was the only big grey thing they could hit!! When they did eventually manage to drop a well aimed bomb into the courtyard of the building, it just so happened to be a dud. With the amount of arsenal dropped on Berlin, its no surprise that unexplored bombs and ...
