... Montreal. Our lasting impressions are of great roads, shocking secondary roads, terrible signage, very helpful, friendly people who when asked directions give you the most convoluted ones ever. The idea is to listen to the first 2 then ask someone else when you get there and so on but it all adds to the experience and we wouldn't have missed it for anything. ... point of view. You could definitely tell that the city was built around at a time where streets were not important. Everything is based around the canals and the streets were just thrown in afterwards. After our hour long cruise, we made our way back to Centraal to grab our stored bags and take the train back to Schipol to catch our next flight. This one was a 10 hour flight to bangkok, not a 12 hour one like we thought we had. Thank god. And that is where I am writing this ...
