        On the way back, I explored different ways of heading home (that's another way of saying, I really didn't know where I was going, but kept heading down and recognised some landmarks, so I wasn't bothered!) and arrived home as it was getting dark.         Switerland - what a contrast to England! Coming in to land on the plane at night, the little villages and towns looked like little spider webs of light amongst areas of black (which must have been the mountains) with connecting threads of light, kind of joining them together - so picturesque!

        ... I found it a fascinating detour and I have tried to learn more about the geology and history of the Church of the Devil.

        Afterwards Monika and I (and Leo the Dog) walked along small roads on wide open fields and then through roads in pine woods to get back to her house in Schlatt. Cows watched us with wary eyes to make sure we were not going to bother them.
