... by the inspector -- very polite. It was so early there was no traffic at all in the town. I changed money and found my way out. I have no detailed GPS maps for Mexico, so will be back to the old fashioned asking and guessing method of getting around. The office for doing the personal and vehicle entry paperwork is 30 km down the road -- all very organized and empty. I am glad I went through the Border at such an out of the ...

I took the Del Rio city bus to the border on the Rio Grande in Del Rio. I paid my coins (entry fee), and walked across the bridge into Acuna, about 3/4 of a mile. I had heard from the gringos that it was too dangerous to come here, but then the Mexicans told me it was OK. Well, I needed a hair job and wanted some REAL tacos and Mexican beer and so I ...

    Mission in Acuna!

I stay in Del Rio, Texas - Ramada Inn - with people on our Misison to Acuna trips. The hotel is clean and the service is outstanding. We deliver food to needy families in Acuna - who work 45-hours per week and bring home about $60 from the factories. Many live in houses they built from scrap lumber and card board. We ...
