        ... of funds); possible change in plans; rooms not quite as advertised. There are so many lodgings that are not advertised in these (third world  know, this might offend some - just take it with a grain of salt - I'm not looking down my nose at anyone]) countries, that many are cheaper and better than what's on the net. Once I start running into other travelers, I'll get more recent info then what's on the net.

        ... by the inspector -- very polite. It was so early there was no traffic at all in the town. I changed money and found my way out. I have no detailed GPS maps for Mexico, so will be back to the old fashioned asking and guessing method of getting around.         ... picture was in Monterrey, never saw it before, but the emblem on the front looks like it may be a Pontiac. Cute car.

        The statue of St Catherine is in the town of Santa Catarina. All of the towns in Mexico have art objects displayed, so much more than in the US.

        We arrived at Saltillo around 4 pm and heard a squeak as we were turning into the drive coming from the MH. Could it be the new brakes or a wheel bearing going? Bill will look further into it tomorrow.

        I took the Del Rio city bus to the border on the Rio Grande in Del Rio. I paid my coins (entry fee), and walked across the bridge into Acuna, about 3/4 of a mile.
