Great central location with friendly staff. Clean but small rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast will suit all tastes.

      Frankfurt

Frankfurt am main. Or Mainhatten as it is nicknamed, due to its glass skyscrapers. Unfortunately 80% of Frankfurt was bombed during WWII so hideous 50's architecture is everywhere.

It's a beautiful sunny warm day and already we've covered 6km on foot. Sitting in Romeberg square having a rather large stein to ward off the heat.Omg! The …

6.30 am and up we get ready for our trip back to Schipol and then onto Frankfurt Germany.

I headed back towards the MyZeil mall, where I was supposed to meet Simon and ...

We made it to Frankfurt! Happy New Year to everyone as well!! The flight was a little crazy. Fully booked to the point where once they loaded the luggage they had to recalibrate everything as the load was too heavy! Then we hit some crazy turbulence! Roller coaster feeling in my tummy! I was getting a bit nervous as things were rattling everywhere and a cart even fell over! Definitely glad to be on solid ground. So ...

... the German breakfasts, mostly for the cut meats, cheeses, bread and strong coffee, it was just great. So we are away down to the lobby, pay up check out (we liked this hotel so booked for the 24th Jan when we are back in Frankfurt) This next bit was the magic, the hotel has a sort of a balcony outside which protects from the elements, so no snow immediately, but in a second I look at Lorrie and Em as they for the first time every ...
