    Great central location with friendly staff. Clean but small rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast will suit all tastes.

    Frankfurt am main. Or Mainhatten as it is nicknamed, due to its glass skyscrapers. Unfortunately 80% of Frankfurt was bombed during WWII so hideous 50's architecture is everywhere.

    6.30 am and up we get ready for our trip back to Schipol and then onto Frankfurt Germany.

    What a flight that was! 25 mins back to Schipol then a rush to get our 45 minute flight to Frankfurt.

    It is 5:38 pm Italy time... how do I know this???... because our plane has actually landed in Italy. It's a miracle!!! The drive from our hotel is 40 minutes. Along the way I am struck by the beautiful flowering bushes, crazy fast driving and the graffiti.
