Everything went very smoothly for Captain Martin - watch the video! First lock - 150 yards long - nobody else around - good news for first time out. Then ...

    December 17
This morning we awoke after a blissful night in a comfy bed being scrubbed clean the night before. It was overcast this morning and we made a slow start of it. By the time we got up and put the few things back in our single bag we packed, it was 10:30.
