It has been a while... sorry about that! Helena and I have been in Ängelholm now for about 2 months. I have finished my Swedish course in Lund and have been working here for the last month. I work at a place called Halvsbadskjollan, a little kiosk and Pizza restaurant right on the beach here in Ängelholm. It all happened kind of by accident... Helena and I went to the beach one Friday afternoon ...
Ängelholm, Sweden cpiottoHej! Hej! I am back on the air, its been a long time since I have sent any news and I have added a few entries to this trip but after a lot of travelling in the last 2 weeks Helena and I have settled into our new appartment in Ängelholm. We are only a few minutes by bike to the beach and right in town. Its a great place and settling into Swedish life quiet well. It has been a long time since I have been a beach goer, and I have paid the price thinking that I wont need to use ...

It was a good day, got to meet the people and tour the design and warehouse parts of the factory. Caught up with one of Helena's old friends and then it was another long drive back to Angleholm. Through woods, woods and moose sign after moose sign.

As I said in the last entry, Copenhagen has been "celebrating" the 200th anniversary of the destruction of their city by the British. The museum was having a special exhibition for this event and we happened to be there on exactly the 200th anniversary. I didn't see much of the exhibition but I'm pretty sure I saw the most awesome part. That is someone's ...
Hillerød, Denmark sarahindenmarkWhen I booked my flight to Tuvalu and back home from Tarawa I thought that I would be spending four days each way by myself, but it turns out that there is another boarding the ship the same time as me, and because she hasn't got a lot of time here in Denmark, she's studying to become an actress or something at school with quite a few pupils and only one computer, she asked if it was okay with me that she booked the same flight as me. Not ...
Hillerød, Denmark evamaria85Too-vah-looh - well that's how your pronounce the name of this tiny Pacific Country. Tuvalu consists of five atolls and four islands, the biggest atoll is Funafuti Atoll, which is also the capital of Tuvalu. These nine dry spots of land are spread out over an area of 800km squared. Tuvalu is squeezed in between Kiribati and Fiji, with 250km to Kiribati in the north (from Funafuti) and 1100km to Fiji in the south. Tuvulu was ...
Hillerød, Denmark evamaria85Hi there, I just couldn't wait, so I had to start this travelogue, there will be updates every now and then from now and until I leave Denmark in August, because I'm so exited about going to the South Pacific. From August 10th and onwards I don't know how regular my updates will be because there is no internet on the small boat where I will be ...
Hillerød, Denmark evamaria85... because she's not yet been over to inspect. Central Kristianstad is fairly small and, like the surrounding area, very flat. It's surrounded by suburbs of blocks of flats and streets of small houses. Pretty much like many places, really, though lacking any sort of excitement at all! After stopping at the amusingly named (if have an advanced sense of humour like I do) Willy:s supermarket for break, milk and cheese we arrived at the block where Sarah and her boyfriend are ...
Lund, Skåne, Sweden emconnolly2000... of which lay a boiled fish, curled up, with its tail stuck in its mouth, (like the Egyptian emblem for eternity,) and half afloat in melted butter. I had eaten nothing since the proceeding night, and was prepared to do justice to the emblematic fish, leaving only is curved skeleton on the plate. As soon as our carriage was ready, we departed on the mail road towards the north. He was a very dreary drive. The land was for the most part cultivated, but not fenced with ...
Angelholm, Sweden travellerbruce... the tan. We followed Tadek's instructions - train followed by ferry. We looked around the ferry and noticed that the Scandies were drinking gin in a can. I had to try some!! David bought some for me and I was hooked! Gin was my new best friend. Goodbye Sangria! I staggered off the ferry into an awaiting bus. Luckily it was going to Viken. We got off the bus and the heavens opened. Bugger! We hadn't had rain since Korcula! We managed to find the accommodation Tadek had booked ...
