    ... first we ask the two train conductor guys which platform and they say you need to catch the such and such line. They told us to look on the board and when the train was assigned a platform number we would know. well! That was completely incorrect so we asked a train lady and she didn't know either.     ... the first time since 2009 due to various health issues.

    This time we didn't obey some of my golden rules as well as we should .....I have a strong preference for apartments and not hotels, hate stays of less than 3 days, love being able to walk for a coffee / pastry and struggle without good internet. We missed on a few of these this time - won't happen again

    Of the several lakes in the famed Lakes region of northern Italy, we selected Lake Maggiore because of its easy access from Milan, proximity to the Swiss border and multiple towns and villages around the lake.
