    ... our train didn't leave for Lucerne until mid-afternoon so we ditched our bags at the train station and wandered about for several hours until it was time to leave.This day was rather sunny and warm.

    Overall, we quite liked Como. It wasn't crowded with tourists and we saw some interesting sights and had a semi-relaxing time poking around.

    ... lake, we went up the mountain in a funicular to a small mountain village called Pigra (means Lazy) from where we walked mostly downhill to the lake again – officially you climb 90m and you descend about 660m.

    Actually I was expecting, and prepared, to walk up onto the ridge above Pigra but we didn’t … (Perhaps another day.)

    ... becomes more of a marvel.
    I left Biella yesterday for the first time. All by myself. On a train. The key thing to remember is 'Don't Stress, Don't Panic' and all will be good and dandy.
    I met with Ellen at the station with the australian way of finding someone-stick your hand up and start yelling- it worked wonders.
    It was beautiful in Milano, very big, very elaborate. Especially the Duomo! The only way i can describe it is very pointy.

    ... Second challenge was in checkin queue. The woman in front had 44kg of luggage and was trying not to pay for it. She had books out, stuff strewn everywhere, suitcase open, in an attempt to decrease weight. But woman behind counter was wise to her and got her to weigh her handbag. The negotiations continued. Saved by the woman on the next counter. And there is another side saga here. . . . ...
