... kicked in and after the limited assessment I could realized that we needed to call an ambulance. After the ambulance came and got this person on their way to the hospital I decided it was time to call it a night. The irony of the entire situation is how only a few days earlier I had been talking with a friend about how I missed working as an EMT and being actively being able to administer treatments and such. Careful what you wish ...

... but looking back to when I just started a mere nine weeks ago I have noticed a considerable change. Gone are the days of questioning if I made the right decision in choosing to go to medical school in Sweden, as are most of the doubts I have of if I will be able to be successful here. It feels strange to say that I've changed in such a short period of time but the reality is that I have. Since moving to Sweden my drug of choice has been withheld and am going through what I call EMT withdrawal. While my schoolwork benefits ...

... weeks into class and haven't bought a single book. I borrowed a few from the school library but so far I have mostly been using studies and online resources. Having access to my BU account and using all the BU library's databases has proven to be useful too. Other than that I have just been trying to spend time with some of the people in my program and getting to know them better. More adventures to ...

So my first day of medical school is complete and I absolutely loved it. At 09:30 sharp we all gathered for the first time. After an hour of music and introduction we got sent off to the classroom. The classroom part was the not so super fun part aka 3.5 hours of Death by PowerPoint. Granted it was all about different services available on campus but it was still Death by PowerPoint. At 15:30 the fun really began. In order for any of the next two ...
