Bonjour, Verwelkoming, Guten Tag

... we left there to get some lunch and we found a chip shop and Todd had the traditional chips and mayonnaise and I had chips with ketchup. The mayonnaise by itself was amazing but I’m not too sure about the chip/mayonnaise combination. We then continued at the market, I had a crepe made with chestnut flour with brown sugar for dessert. The food is good, but my body needed vegetables by the end of the weekend! The abundant amount of chocolate shops is ridiculous ...

... devoid of any energy. I mean everyone was just staring at the scene, not moving an arm or a leg. So I concluded this was the right time to play with my camera and teach some of its effects to Fan, because she just bought the same. So we also had some fun taking pictures! It was good after all, I had to wake up early today to play with Killi as my mother and father were working.

Homer Simpson's Mecca: "mmmmm, beer"

... Parc du Bruxelles and the Royal Palace. The Royal Palace was pretty impressive-looking, and Belgian flag was flying above it, which means the king was somewhere in Belgium (!). This apparently is impressive, since the king is known to spend most of his time at his house in the French Riviera. We heard that he had a son, but apparently he is "awkward and standoffish", so the dream was crushed forever for these two princesses. We then made our way ...

... had each picked out a bar we wanted to hit throughout the night, I picked a Dali themed bar. We started at the first bar and was going to progress on our way back to our hostel, lastly hitting the church that has public urinals built into the sides to keep people from ******* on the church. The first bar was a French jazz theme. Awesome, comfortable, quant, the bar had amazing aesthetics with couches and candles to accompany the old French jazz - actually there were couples ...

... nger - there) and went out drinking every night. And I just had a very good time. So now my free month is over and tomorrow morning it is back to work. I hope I can keep the good mood for a few weeks. And I definitely plan to start cooking Thai food regularly at home now and see how much I remember from my course.

... long leaving the hotel, and then I picked the tram that takes the longest amount of time to get to the train station. We managed to run in to the Eurostar area 10 minutes before our train was to leave. Luckily passport control didn't take that long, and security didn't see a reason to stop us. We ran up the ramp, threw our bags onto a rack, and sat down sweating and out of breath just in time for the doors to close.

Blown Away by Brussels

... 2 French transplants who showed us a little piece of everyday Belgium life. We treated our inner child to a visit to the comic book museum (I had no idea that the smurfs were Flemish!) and set up our own chocolate tasting tour (Neuhaus was our favorite by far). Brussels was one of the most diverse cities that we've visited thus far and the people were very nice. We'll send pics and video soon

Boy pissing

... my way to the Grand Place or central square. There I took a beer tour at one of the breweries. After a couple of beers I headed off to find the famous little boy peeing statue 'Mannekin Pis'. Today he was dressed up in a suit of armour. Later that night I went to the movies again to watch 'Go'.
