Usually after a long hard week, weekends are supposed to provide quietude. People look forward to put their mental batteries to charge-up during two days, so that it can run for the upcoming five. I am no different. The old clock tower still functions and we heard the bell ring while at the top. In fact, it is still ringing in our ears. The views were spectacular of course. Kathy took many photos in all directions from the top of the tower. Coming down from the tower ...

... four hours spent wandering around went quickly with the many stops we made. We found ourselves hungry and stopped near our hotel for dinner at a small restaurant for an okay dinner of spaghetti con vongole (spaghetti with clams) and risotto with shrimp. Not worth recommending but the waiters were friendly and humorous.

Back to our hotel about seven after a fun day of Vino in Verona.
