Hjemme i DK
Endelige landet i Odense efter en hjemtur over alt forventning. Iceland Air er et godt selvskab. Man skal bare tage sin egen mad med hjemme fra, og høretelefoner med alm stil. Så kan man klare hvilken som helst tur. Ellers køber man det bare i flyet til lidt overpris. Benpladsen var fin og flyet nyt. Dog små fly, så vi sad 3 og 3 fra Denver og 2 og 2 fra Island. Og underligt nok, har jeg for første gang fået ...
Our first and probably last Danish Easter
... the-stain-gla ss-windows-with-a-motorcycle (shirtless, hopefully)-rifles-in-hand-and-proclaimi ng-that-he-is-the-new-messiah" type of climax to end the service? (that was over-exaggeration at its finest…there is no way I could be that whitty that quick…but I was curious what type of catholic climax she was imagining..exorsis? a live resurrection? dance-off?
We then toured around the town for a bit until our frozen carrot noses fell ...
Odense
... re looking forward to seeing Copenhagen a bit on Thursday, then we'll fly to Roos and Henri's in Holland.
Dad is lecturing today. So we'll have more time to send pictures at the end of the week. Skype is hard with work, so we'll make sure to do it whenever we can.

Day eight
Wednesday, May 5th
We decided to take the 10.30 am train to Billund. It was just too much of a rush to take the earlier. Still cold, although summer is trying to creep through. We bought a rail ticket through to Billund which included a train to Vieje and a bus to Billund and cost us the equivalent of $70 return for the two of us. We waited in the warmth of the overhead passenger bridge instead of on the windy platform.

Day seven
... five minutes but it felt like 25 in that cold wind. Back in Odense we ducked into the variety store at the station ostensibly to find some maps…a rarity in Denmark They just do not sell maps in this country. Not even of their own towns. At the airport later I did pick up a Balkans map and once we hit Vienna they were everywhere and in all languages. I do not know why the Danes have no need of maps. I couldn’t even see any signs of detailed street maps which we all take ...
