A very quiet and peaceful evening, blessed with no midges as it was cold but this made the skies clearer and the light and colours spectacular. We walked a little, enjoyed our evening meal with some wine and a good, long sleep. En route to Tampere now for a look see and perhaps a shop before we find somewhere for the night, we shall see! Having been here before helped ...

... Not sure what to say now..... Ummm.... well I will never forget it......Cramped spaces, old naked guys offering me vodka, a large naked man wearing what looks like an elf's hat (so not fully naked), sitting naked in a sauna while naked men lather themselves in soap. I'm not sure how long I lasted before I got out of the sauna, and ran down the street and got on a bus (oh I did get dressed before ...

... and the shpangliness on exhibit in the museum was much. I will let the photos do the talking in this respect.

Sadly, I didn't manage to make off with a geode the size of my face, but it was a pleasant way to spend some time.

I'm off to Turku in a bit, where I will be couchsurfing for the first time on this trip. It's going to be a different experience to hostelling I think, and I am interested to see how it goes. Wish me luck!
