... Anyway, it was a plane with a view.<br><br>Quepos isn´t much to speak of. Dirty little place with expensive restaurants and a 24 hour bar which the lcals fight in. On a bus at 5.30am we witnessed a hilarious local fight where the angry guy had a pathetic crumbly stick that he kept hitting his victim with. The police turned up but just ordered burgers and drove off. That´s justice.

... Dave had River Shrimp which are huge and taste a bit like lobster and I had a mixed plate of wonderful seafood. We found the restaurant quite by accident when the taxi driver dropped us where he thought we ought to go rather than where we had asked. Spookily, the following evening, we tried to return to the same area but ended up, this time on foot, in quite a different one where our original choice of restaurant suddenly loomed in front of us. ... just barely as the rain started. The rain typically lasts for a couple hours back in San Pedro, but this was a tropical storm that lasted the entire night. Eventually the street was flooded to the point that there was no sidewalk. That night we all went out for some food and drinks to celebrate Kirsten's b-day, but the real fun of course was back at the hotel where we played some classic fun games of cards.
