Best Western Hotel Haarhuis Arnhem

De schumibruder zijn bij elkaar gekomen om de laatste puntjes op i te zetten.
Vanuit het Digitale Dorp Sambeek vertrekken we maandagmiddag (few, toch nog uitslapen maandag) naar schiphol.

De eerste tussenstop zal dan tussen de Udon noodles en de Sushi van Tokyo zijn.

Nu eerst nog zeker zijn dat de blog gaat werken, dus als je tot hier komt dan is dat alvast gelukt.

... en daarna fijn in het zonnetje een sigaretje roken. En anders... ja, anders ben ik met Kerst weer terug. Dan maar geen vriendjes. Heb een flexibel retourticket met vooralsnog 15 maart erop, maar het kan maar zo korter worden. Of langer, je weet maar nooit. Maar ik beloof in ieder geval dat ik op tijd terug ben om Twente de finale van de Europaleague tegen Liverpool te zien winnen...

Fa soifua!

... to be around that time, I wasn't able to book a hostel for just a few days, so I had to book for 11 days in a row. Gives me at least some time to get a good impression of the city (I hope). Maybe I'll even go visit some musicals, like Mamma Mia and Wicked. :-)

This is a pretty early entry, there are still 2 months to go, but I just wanted to start my blog already. What if in two months time this name would've been taken.. disaster! :)

Anyway, I'll try to keep everybody informed with this blog.

... very regulated apparently it is illegal to put your washing out on the street side of the house!!!!! We have been for walks in the Sonsberg? park which is only a block or two away, its huge has lots of tracks through it ponds creeks etc, being spring here there are ducklings and goslings all over the place, fallow deer in the deer enclosure ...

... bicycles in the park that anyone can use, and you can just ride around and have fun. The problem was that I had to take a train to Arnhem (a city about 1/2 hour away), then a bus from Arnhem to the Veluwe. However, I neglected to remember that the bus drivers are on strike right now, so I got to Arnhem, and well, ended up spending the day sightseeing in Arnhem as the busses were not running. Arnhem had a pretty big downtown area, though ...

Eveline showed me Utrecht today! Leaving the house at 11.30, we walked to the bus top and caught a bus in to town. We wandered around everywhere! Into lots of shops looking at clothing and presents (for a birthday part Eveline was going to tonight) and it was so much fun. Utrecht is a great place! There is a lot of shopping places. Yep, dit is 'em dan: mijn laatste bericht vanuit Nederland. En nee, ik besef het nog steeds niet. :-D Misschien heb ik ze gewoon niet, die kriebels, de zenuwen, het onderbuik-gevoel. Misschien komt het in het vliegtuig pas. We zullen zien.

Wat ik ook zeker wil doen, is een bezoek brengen aan White Island (Boudewijn Buch!). Het is een eilandje met een werkende vulkaan, vlak voor de kust van Whakatane. Je kunt er met de boot naartoe en met een beetje geluk wordt je op die boottocht vergezeld door dolfijnen...
