... out of bed. I have to admit that I wouldn't make a very good farmer, though. On both mornings, I heard the ruckus start but went back to sleep before it had all finished. Who invented the snooze button? Was it the Swiss? The next day with Marco and Stephie in the lead, we drove up to Mt Säntis. According to Wikipedia, Säntis rises some 2,502.9 metres above sea level and is the highest mountain in the Alpstein massif ...

A campsite by any other name.....

Having enjoyed some peaceful solace in the spa yesterday I thought I should record some of the facilities here. Looking at the photos it just isn't anyone's idea of 'camping' - it's a posh place where you bring your own accommodation! We are one of only a handful of tents, it's all caravans & motor homes and predominately German. The girls enjoyed the pirate treasure hunt and came back with T-shirts ...

Why are caravans always white? That was the debated issue of the morning.... Probably prompted by the fact we are pitched next to one that is green (!) and, awnings - always blue & grey - never pink (that would be cool). Our colour scheme is green - we go for green if we have a choice. Our loungers (my luxury item) are stripy - really cool & super comfy; we gave them good use today in the sunshine. Today ...

Slept well last night - the tent was surprisingly comfortable. I wondered how we'd adjust to travelling again after our comfortable stay in the apartment. I'm pleased to report it is ok! Paul even said he'd missed the tent (something he wouldn't have said a week ago!) Scarlett has decided to try sleeping in the 'dog house' - it's the area under the sleeping platform on the trailer - we ...
