We had a lazy day in Ruggell, we all suffered a little jet lag so we just chilled a bit around the home. For dinner that night we were taken into Austria to a place called Feldkirch. We had to take our passports in case we were stopped at the border crossing. We went to a Castle in the town built over 300 years ago. The children were amazed and surprised on how cold it was. Inside was a restaurant that has been here for a very ...

... for the day ......only to realise our hotel was at Ludwigshafen some three miles away! It was well worth the effort as the lakeside hotel Adler was beyond expectations with beautiful views from our room. An early evening walking tour of the village led to drinks at lakeside bar with very jolly barman. Thoroughly recommend "Franzishaner Weissbier"......So good we had to pop into the local Esso garage for a couple of bottles to take back to the ...

... went doubly bad when the light didn't diisappear and we got directed off the motorway into a traffic jam comprising mostly of eastern european lorry drivers who seemed to have about as much idea about how to circumnavigate Maidstone as I did with my 15 year old atlas. ... Museum. This was very interesting describing the Hindenburg disaster and how the airship was designed. Sophie loved it as she got a suitcase in which she had to collect information at different spots throughout the museum.

After 2 and a half hours we left the museum and drove onto Bregenz. It is on lake Bodensee and was very busy as there was a demonstration and lots of police were set up around the main city centre. It was actually a bit scary as we had no ...

... flames and 37 people died.

We left Lindau and drove to Rosenheim. Along the way I saw lots of very big mountains with snow on the top. There was even piles of snow on the side of the road. We stopped in the parking lot and I jumped in the snow.I could feel how cold the snow was through my gloves.

Soon we will be in Austria and hopefully seeing more mountains with snow.
