We were planning to go to Liechtenstein but thought we may as well as it was sort of on our way. It's the worlds 6 smallest country so it would have been rude not to go..haha.
We didn't drive to the main town but to another.. where really there wasn't anything. I did get a photo with the tourist sign though. Had to somehow prove I'd been there!
So yeah, continuing form the last post, we drove through Switzerland, and even made a stop in Liechenstein hahaha... We went to Vaduz, the capital, which is literally a quick right turn outside of Switzerland. We hung out for a bit and checke dout a couple ...

After a week in Basel we jumped on the train to visit my Uncle and Aunt (Heinz and Elsa) in Gossau – a small town in the north east of Switzerland. On the way we spent a few hours in Zurich where we just wandered around the city centre, had lunch and sat by the lake. Heinz and Elsa met us at the train station and walked us back to their place – about 2 minutes away! They took us for a drive up to a place which gives a great view over St Gallen ...
Gossau, St. Gallen, Switzerland benanna... Feldkirch I got lost. Actually I was just trying to get to McDonald's because the group wanted a bathroom break and the public toilets here were not to our standards. Anyway, I drove past the McDonald's twice - once my fault and once the navigator's - and drove down a pedestrian only section of road before we gave up and continued on our journey out of town and deeper into Austria.
Feldkirch, Austrian Alps, Austria travelingdiva... weren't too interested so they took Lincoln (who couldn't go with us) and we went to have a look. It was a rewarding visit. It is amazing to think how long ago some of those books and transcripts were written, and how well cared for they must be to remain in excellent condition. The library itself is breathtaking, with leather bound books lining the shelves, large windows (no doubt filtered), elaborate woodwork and staircases, and a muraled ceiling ...
St. Gallen, St. Gallen, Switzerland travelingdiva... Europe." Referring again to Mom's Rick Steves book, we sat on the correct side of the train to see the best views, which we thought were gorgeous. As we went farther up the mountain, we had to change to a cogwheel train so the train could continue up a relatively steep angle, the temperature started dropping, and the views kept getting better and better. However, they did not even compare to the amazing, stunning, incredible views from the top of the mountain ...
Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany penns... macchiato with Bailey's and was just journaling there for an hour or so listening to my own music. It was great to get out of the school and do something. Tonight we are having a Youth Service here at the school. There is one team from here who is singing for it. Other then that, nothing much has been happening so far. Its been great to hear stories of travels over the 3 weeks of Christmas. Jeff, Aaron, Vince and ...
Friedrichshafen, Germany babygirllenshyn... Gottlieben, Switzerland. One of Rick's business associates had made reservations for us at the Hotel Drachenburg. Quite a nice place! Our room seemed very French with a bidet and a chaise lounge. We had lunch there and had dinner with Helmut. I don't have the name of the restaurant, but we had possibly the best poached salmon ever!!
