Luckily, I had a chance to redeem myself by going to Annecy, France for the afternoon. This is a super cute town about an hour away (by bus) that is particularly famous for its Vieille Ville (old city). The lake is also extremely beautiful (apparently they filter it) and is surrounded ...

... courses. Marni's plan of attack was to point and go, hands on knees, skis parallel and pointed straight to the bottom, perfect skiing style...no snow plough. Her tactic to stop was to yell out for help and one of the instructors would run over and stop her, and teach her the snow plough (again). She was flying down! The instructors were great, by the end of it, she was attempting to snow plough, but was definitely turning toward the rope lift ...

... spent a small fortune over the years visiting with my boys ski resorts around the world, and paying thru the nose for private lessons, I thought that I could give a reasonable account of myself. Well it seems that if you don't get around to skiing for six or so years your skill level drops a fair way down the ladder. Your mind knows what to do but the muscles just don't follow. I was hopeless! Luckily we had engaged a couple of guides for the next day and they split us into ...
