... is growing each time I go out, and because of this I've been able to enjoy riding plenty more new slopes. Spring skiing/snowboarding is definitely one of the best times to get out. Weirdly the atmosphere seems slightly more relaxed, and people are everywhere sitting to the sides of the slopes enjoying picnics and soaking up the sunshine. We spent a day at Les Contamines in France which is about a half hour drive ...
... and is very comfortable and warm. Alan is the chief fire lighter, having been a Queens Scout, he is best qualified for the job of setting and maintaining the slow combustion heater, which is backed up by off peak electric heaters in the bedrooms.

Lib and Al had organised a house exchange in the French Alps outside a town called Saint Gervais-les Bains. Our cottage was very warm and comfortable and we were lucky to have a few sunny days.
