Very nice accommodations facing the water. The staff was very helpful in assisting me in locating an ancestral home.

... their alcohol! This is going to make not being a big drinker rather interesting I can imagine. One thing you will notice at Danish parties/clubs is that old-school songs are really popular- more so than current music. I have heard so many songs from 90s and early 2000s, even going as far back as the 60s and 70s! What makes it interesting however, is that often the songs will have been translated into Danish, so when you hear the song come on and you're prepared to belt out the ...

It's nice to have your own space (and bathroom!) where you can have some downtime but you can still hang out with those on your floor via the shared dining room/kitchen/lounge if you want. The dorms also have some pretty cool traditions which should make living in them quite fun. They have an event called tour de chambre, ...

I Learnt so much about the war!! i love hearing about it. The house we were in was an old hospital in the war. The kitchen was the operating room, and rooms were patient wards. This made me very happy to be in the neighborhood now. Apparently, and i saw pictures, Kiel was pretty much leveled in the war so a lot ...

After bedding down next to a path by a bird sanctuary, I awake to continue down the coast to the ferry. I replace my first tyre, and notice that my rugged offroad tyres now resemble racing superslicks. The weather has cleared up, I make camp about 14k from the Ebeltoft ferry in some woods. In other news, I have begun talking to my bicycle. I have named him 'squeak'. I buy some chain lube to shut him up.
