    ... It's past has also been dependent on salt - hence Salzburg, salt castle or fortress. There is a magnificent medieval castle, Hohensalzburg Fortress which sits high atop the town. The journey to the top is well worth it in terms of views but also in being able to wander around a huge medieval keep.     ... pineapple kebab. Whilst Marion was asleep David was given spring rolls. The crew were very attentive without being over the top. We had good sized TV screen and it was easy to work. The film selection was not great but we enjoyed the light films we both chose to watch and then progressed to watching several TV shows. The flight was quite long.     ... market, which is 90% food and produce - The Naschmarkt, and enjoyed exploring that. We bought very little besides a huge chunk of watermelon, which the stall holder kindly chopped up and wrapped for us, so we could consume it along the way.

    In the evening we took the metro back into the city for one final look around; as expected the city was more beautiful by night and still full of life. (H)

    ... information of anybody. Finally a passerby stopped and directed us to the bus stop. The bus took us to Villach in Austria, where we then caught a train to Vienna. After a while, the train slowed to a halt and there was a long announcement in German. We were puzzled to see that most people appeared to be leaving the train.
