... he described Joy. Well, we knew that anyway!

After the excitement of San Salvatore and Guercino's tomb, we walked on to San Paolo Maggiore and San Domenico, two more glorious churches with wonderful artwork. Well, the answer turned out to be round ...

... hours and a bit gazing at Reni, Guercino, Caracci, and a stack of others. Wonderful.

Michael had seen enough in about 30 minutes so went off to explore Bologna on his own. First of all it is a very historic city. You can see, without being told, that every single building has a long and fascinating history. Almost every building (and there are many) has its own architectural style. Everywhere you look, there ...

... of that day. Amazing pasta! At 2pm we had a factory tour booked and pulled onto the Ferrari site. No photos allowed here. Only three of us on tour. Felt very special. They took us to see the F1 site where all the previous F1 vehicles have been sold to clients (six a year, valued from 1.2m to 2.9m) and are kept there to be maintained and raced on special days organised by Ferrari. How the other half live! Then we saw FXX and 599 racing Ferrari's which are only allowed on sports ...
