This was a lazy day. Mid-morning we headed out to walk the the other side of the river. Most of the walk was through the Ducal Gardens and a surrounding residential neighbourhood. The Ducal Gardens are sadly neglected. The grass was unkempt, most of the statutes were missing body parts and the fish pond was quite scummy. The Ducal palace is now used as offices for the army. ... I could eat 6 times a day! As lunch finished, I realized that this was the restaurant we have reservations for this evening. What a lucky coincidence. We are looking forward to what I am sure will be a delicious dinner. But we did more than just eat today.
