... It was a fascinating process to watch from beginning to end. This producer has 6 huge kettles and each one yields 2 large wheels of cheese (if he's lucky). The farm only produces 12 wheels of cheese a day, while some commercial producers can make 200 wheels a day. After our cheese tasting, we drove back toward Modena to La Vecchia Dispensa, an authentic balsamic vinegar producer. We had a "vertical tasting" (similar to our wine tasting at Petreto Winery) and tasted 5 ...

We decided to explore the town and walked along the wooden bridge covered in flowers and found a cafe called Heini which served a great breakfast of a milky muesli bread, cheese, ham and croissants. Bought ...
... hung around for a while, went home to rest and change and then met them for dinner. We walked all the way to their hotel to see if we could find a restaurant along the way but we ended up back near our hotel and ate outside which was lovely. Food was fine (even though our friends had had a 3 star Michelin lunch as part of their gourmet tour)! It was a great night and it was lovely to meet up with good ...
