    ... weather but we had other cows to milk outside of town. Shot out of Fribourg via Villars Sur Glane to the ancient tourist trap of Gruyere, which Marianne especially enjoyed.     ... Its most famous and recognizable landmark is the St. Nicholas Cathedral that dominates the center of the medieval city. With only 70,000 people in the city and nearby suburbs (which hasn't changed since I lived there), Fribourg is small by U.S. standards, but has an unmistakable charm and deep history.     Yes I agree my time in Switzerland was a little uneventful but the highlights for me were catching up with friends and the beautiful scenery everywhere you look - picture postcard.
