    Drove forty miles into Hannibal this morning. Not many tourists in town so it was quiet. Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum was well-done. Lots of pictures and quotes on the walls, good narrative, excellent DVD playing with great detail on his life. Becky Thatcher and Huck Finn's houses included detailed descriptions of the real people the characters ...

    ... and the homes of the friends that gave Twain the inspiration for beloved characters Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher. We enjoyed two different Mark Twain museums, one of which had interactive exhibits that the kids enjoyed and a Norman Rockwell exhibit upstairs.
