    Tonight we are dining in the Chops Grille for my birthday. They claim the best steak on the high seas. We have much more motion on this crossing than we did last year in the Pacific. They have drained and closed the pools until we get to some calmer waters. They have also made some subtle changes in the entertainment because of the increased motion.

    So, we hope all are well and we will get back to you when better conditions permit. ...

    ... It has an old cathedral and lovely narrow streets from which were hanging lots of different flags. As we suspected they hold a similar event to Sienna 'Palio'. The flags represent the various 'houses' and they race, wait for it.... donkeys! Apparently a nearby town does it with horses and Alba is taking the mickey.

    ... we pulled up to an intersection that had an enormous parking lot and bar on one corner and the area was completely littered with motorbikes and people of all ages, both men and women!     ... Okay, what activity will we do during the day though? Oh right it's getting cold... Where is somewhere warm.....what about Africa!? Africa is warm and accessible by ferry!! Back to the drawing books we go. Bike to Rome, ferry to Tunisa, ferry back to Genova and over to Morocco and back to Barcelona.... Things are looking up. We check the weather in the areas only to find October and November are some of the areas best cycling months. Next - do we need visas for these place? ...
