... business class to Bsngkok we could use the Finnaur Lounge. Having gone to the gate at 4.45 for a 5.10 takeoff we found that the plane was delayed till 6.20 because of an overheated engine in the incoming flight. The big flight to Bangkok wrong without a hitch. We had the lay back seats but did not sleep soundly. The food was excellent with a three course finger and breakfast. Today started with a tram ride to Ijburg where we boarded a boat that took us to the Mildeslot Castle. Lucky we arrived early as we zigged where we should have zagged and came across what appeared to be a hippy commune. ... is a very large hook. We learned that the hooks are used to lower furniture below when the occupants move. There is no way furniture can be transported down the narrow staircases of these houses (and we think moving is a pain in the States!).
