Rothenburg and the Warzburg Palace

A travel blog entry by gsf on Sep 18, 2015

... As usual there wasn't enough time and we boarded the bus. I was disappointed it departed 5 minutes late. I don't know, this generation of Germans could never organise a proper War. Tacked on the end of this wonderful day was a tour of Warzburg Palace. The Palace of the Princes of the Church. Wow. It was equally as impressive as the Palace of Versailles. Our guide's explanations were superb. We were each made to alight the magnificent staircase arm ...

The first day of riding was the worst, of course. For a start, the hire company ...

My first full day in Amsterdam was pretty action packed. My first stop was the Van Gogh museum. I was excited for this but sadly was a bit let down. I only recognised 2 paintings from the whole collection on display. Don't get me wrong, it was still a great museum. I was just hoping to see a little more of the famous artworks. Next I headed to the Rijksmuseum, where I got to see a lot of Dutch art (think Vermeer, Rembrandt, Frans Hals) which was cool. The highlight for me was ...

... with Elizabeth which made the situation even more comedic. Eventually he had success and we made our way back to the group to enjoy a sweet end to a savory day. At around 17:00 (5pm), we decided to head back so that we could rest up for another Saturday night in the DAM!

Although we had planned on going dancing with some lady friends later on, we ended up starting our evening at the Irish Music Pub to meet up with some of Elizabeth's friends for some ...
