... fondue at our hostel that we got to cook up and enjoy, Mmm so tasty. We then took in my first Couch Surfing meeting beside the river. We met some other travellers and when it was getting dark enjoyed another overpriced drink at an english bar and called it a night. Tomorrow we go to Basel for our last stop on our Switzerland tour. Today I woke up to another sunny day. Perfect for a train ride to Bern to meet up with my brother Kari, his wife Lea and daughter Simone. We decided to explore the nearby mountain of "Gurten" overlooking Bern and the Swiss Alps. We met up at the railway station around 11 am and off we went by bus and cog rail. ... before, we even caught the trains at the same times! Fabian still wasn't home when we got back from the train station at 6:30, so we hung around for a bit, getting ready for dinner and enjoying some internet, and Fabian got home and 7:30 - pretty late to be getting home from work! He had a quick shower and then took us for a drive to see some of his work sites, which Bradley was looking forward to. He took us to his most recent one, about 15mins drive away in another little ...

... so I went out for dinner alone. First time I've ever done that, it feels weird. I think I should bring a magazine next time or something. Maybe a puzzle. I wanted to embrace the Swiss culture so I had cheese fondue! But it took me about 5 attempts to find a restaurant that served fondue for one. So sad. Someone at the restaurant even sent me over a cocktail because they thought that I was stood up. Last time I eat ...
