    ... the high, glockenspiel sounds of the clock bells are ringing the hour, here at Givet, a lovely fortified town on the edge of the Meuse, bordering France and Belgium. We are parked on the edge of the river overlooking at the attractive old town, and can see the boats chugging past.

    We still marvel at the wonderful places we have seen, and the many beautiful, park-up spots we have been able to enjoy: mulit - million dollar views for free. Oh la la! ...

    ... still possible to do a lap of the old Formula One circuit, where Bruce McLaren won his first Grand Prix in his self designed car. But lack of time killed that plan as well as heading for Bastogne, the centre of the Battle of the Bulge where General George had a few anxious moments before over coming the German counter attack.

    It's a beautiful day but because the campsite is expensive, I'm reluctant to leave early. I discover that one of the coin machines is broken. I can shower as long as I want.     ... to Bastogne but he's almost running out of diesel. I ask him if he knows what happens if you run a Diesel engine out of fuel. He says 'yes, it'll be hard to start it after'. Well, yes, that's putting it mildly. Luckily, where getting close. All the way I'm thinking what I'll do if he runs out. I can not just leave him. But it's really not my problem either.
