Karlshamn. If I had not been with someone while I was there it would have been a bit of a bore. My favorite part of the town was the square. I can’t imagine Karlshamn has much of a tourist population but it did have Karlshamn postcards. The square was filled with elderly relaxing as they watched the day go by. I can’t say there was anything special about the town besides the people that live there. ...

... hay in. As the grass begins to grow I’m told the horses will need less and less hay, which is good for everyone – horse, Maria and car. The beasts are interested as I clean, coming up close and hanging their heads over the doors. I keep double checking I’ve closed everything, as the thought of a horse loose in the countryside is not really an appealing thought. When I was leaning the boxes for the second time. I wake early to a beautiful sunrise – all manner of yellows and oranges, cut momentarily by the silhouette of passing trucks by my window. There is a farm shop 500 metres up the road from Maria's. Over the years she has watched it grow from a small shop/store selling bits and pieces to a sprawling Bunnings Warehouse-esque monstrosity covering all your bases – from gardening ware worn by a rich English lady as the gardener gets to work to horse riding bits to ...
