Tom and John had found a restaurant in the back streets on a previous trip and we pushed past the tourists like locals till we got to our destination....where the owner's son runs the place with the hand of a mafioso....almost...!!!!     ... We set off again and soon find ourselves ascending the mountains north of Bassano, on some very windy but well maintained roads. The number of cyclists heading up the mountains is amazing, particularly the fact that many appear to be in their 50s and 60s, despite many of the inclines being 10% or more.     Another early morning jog to Canareggio seeking to find the Jewish Ghetto, not from WW2 but from 1516. Adolf got the idea from somewhere!
