      Finally catching up...
      Traveling from Venice to Bassana, we pass Padua (Padova) a town famous for the Bascilica of San Antonio.       ... so I was just going to wander about the 2 islands. I was disappointed that I had to cancel my tour of the glass factory yesterday but at least I wasn't in a position to feel obliged to make a purchase from them. Came across a factory that was about to give a demonstration on some glass work. The guy first made a vase by glass blowing and then made a horse by using tongs to shape the molten glass.       ... The walk to get there and some of the little bridges we have crossed are more beautiful!!
      St Marks Square on the other hand, is pretty jolly impressive! We climb to the balcony that surrounds the Church of St Mark and gives a wonderful view over the entire square and beyond.
