Where to begin? First up: our flight or should that be our flight of hell? As we boarded our second leg it was discovered that we were spread out around the aircraft. We sat in our seats, from the stone age-if you didnt have a dose of 'rhoids' before the flight then there would be a fair chance they would be there by the time the plane landed in Zurich. The clincher of the flight was a crying baby, who decided to show us just how strong his little lungs were... for 10 out ...

The tour left from the same place as yesterday’s by the station, so was easy to find. The guide was a 40-ish Thai man, Kid, who said he’d lived in Germany for almost 20 years, very pleasant and helpful, a bit of a drama queen when he was telling us later that he’d had complaints from some of the passengers about not being able to see in the train, didn’t ...
... look around Lenzberg Sat morning by myself. Very small. The old town is really just a couple of streets so didn't get lost there. Then went up the hill to the castle. OK
On Sat afternoon went into Zurich with Nina and had a look around. Not as I remembered it - mind you it has been 30 years. Liked the city and the sights.
Got taken out to dinner that night to a lovely restaurant by a lake about 20 km from ...
... banks of Lake Zurich which still has a typical old town. We also watched a guy playing a Swiss alpine horn which was quite impressive. You must have to blow pretty ******* these things considering their size.
From Rapperswil we set sail on Lake Zurich back to the city. The boat was a genuine paddle steamer which made the trip all the more interesting. Unfortunately the weather was not all that great and we had to make do with glimpses of sunshine in between the squalls of rain.
