      The next museum was what we were both excited for the most. With plenty of exhibits, including animals from all over the world and how they've evolved, and the same for those living under the ocean. There was also a room explaining the evolution of humans from their ancestors. Pretty interesting stuff.

      The big disappointment came in the dinosaur room though. No T-Rex skeleton! There was a few other dino's though, and a T-Rex skull, and then ...

      ... stores outside of the Verizon Center, and we couldn't get in there as they were setting up for a game! Bummer. We had a quick bite to eat at The Greene Turtle instead, then heading back to Union Station for the 4:05 Amtrak 29 to Chicago!

      I enjoyed DC. It's a lovely city -very clean and friendly. I wouldn't be surprised if I found my way back at some point. I need that chuffin' flag! ...

      ... so we're also getting some good shots of scaffolding!! However, about 30 minutes into the tour it was clear that Ollie was still not up to form so we finished the first loop of the tour and I brought him back to the hotel where he promptly fell asleep for over 2 hours. Tara and Peter carried on to Georgetown where they stopped off for some lunch (sushi apparently) before heading over to the White House and then on to The Holocaust ...
