We stopped off in Indianapolis for lunch - at Shapiro's Deli - a cafeteria style deli open since 1905. I was grateful for the gluten free bread with my Reuben sandwich - and poor Jae with his newly pulled wisdom teeth ordered soup and stuffed cabbage. We approached the free taste testing with the enthusiasm of travellers on a budget, and were not disappointed. We bought some nuts to have on another day – with less driving time.
