I have had a series of 'one thing leads to another' discoveries.

The first happened because I picked up the local paper on a whim and came across the ad for the Neil Diamond tribute concert referred to in one of my previous posts.

Out of the decision to go to that show I found the Mt Baker Theatre, a beautiful theatre (circa 1927) in a Moorish-Spanish style, and by chance overheard a conversation concerning individual tours of the building.

... ship deck. It would be fun to watch. Something to talk about when you got back home. We have a cat ... every ferry traveler should have a cat and a litter box. Then, like me, they would have nothing to talk about.

Speaking of cats, I know you're all dying to know how Maxie did on the ferry. A cat riding a ferry; quite a picture. Right out of the (ferry) gate, let me tell you that Maxie is deathly afraid of motors (sweepers, ...

... that most of Vancouver has had the same idea. It takes over half an hour to finally reach the guard gate. “What’s the purpose of your visit to the United States?” “Ah, I’m just getting some gas and my parents want to get their visas.” Frown. “You don’t come to the border just to get visas.” Leans into radio-mike on shoulder. “Red mini-van.” Frowns ...
