This turns out to be a LONG 7 hour travel day as we drive through High winds (they closed bridges in Seattle), tons of rain and heavy traffic through Seattle. Get to our campsite in Bellingham in time to watch the Canucks beat the Leafs... now that was a reward for a long travel day!
We will cross in Sumas tomorrow and stop in Hope to decide which way to get north from there as there is 24 cms of snow on the Coq!
... did a quick tour to the lake and then back on a different ferry. The Keennicot for our over night sail to Juneau. We arrived at 8 and caught a taxi into town with 8 other ferry travellers for breakfast. Found a nice cafe for eggs and bacon then on shanks pony to explore. We found a tourist sign which pointed the way to an old gold mining museum. It turned out to be a very scenic walk up a canyon next to a creek in the forrest. ...

Hi All, We hit the slopes today at Mt Baker about 1.5 hrs drive fro Bellingham. Was 24 F (-4 C). It was freezing.
