Today was a wonderful ride, again blue skies and few clouds. Rode 425 km as planned.
Temperature was between 15 and 28.

The most amazing experience today was the sudden change of mountains to prairies. Some of the photos can only give ...

None of our kids could make it and Sue and Curt were missing Kate who is on her mission in Utica New York now. Many people have asked if we know this orphanage, the directors or anyone else down there. No, we don't. How did we hear of this orphanage? Google! It's a Christian orphanage run by an American couple. The only contact we've had with them has been through email. I guess we'll see how it is when we are down there but it seems like a very well run, organized facility. ...

Day 2 took us around Lake Superior, with an unexpected stop to check out the Ouimet Canyon. We had our doubts that the canyon would be worth the detour off the highway, but it delivered and was quite the sight. Unfortunately we were pressed for time if we wanted to make it to Thunder Bay to settle in for the night, so we weren't able to do much hiking at the canyon.
