Jimmy Carter National Historic Site, Plains, Georgia. Given its rural setting in west central Georgia, it is rather amazing that it would be the home of the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter. Got off Monday after 12...heading for Columbus, OH 1003 miles away....and had to be there by Wednesday.
Drove just under 300 miles to Perry, GA. Found a stopover at Fair Harbor RV Park just off I75. Neat park all treed, cute little lake in the middle of it, great electric and cable. Just what we needed after getting in around 6 that evening.
