The hotel we are staying in is an old gaol that has been converted for us the new inhabitants to stay in.
The town has a river with people swimming in it and people boating and just laying around in the water on rubber tubes.
The bridge has pretty flowers all over it a lovely park alongside the river.
... mixed with dampness, together with the feeling of anguish and excitement. It was a feeling that really took me offhand. However, I guess that it will feel a lot more different once I step my foot in China. I just don’t know what to expect of it right now and tend to compare it with my old experiences, which definitely makes it a thrilling period of longing.

... and chairs overlooking a small lake. Only 2 or 3 cars were stopped there. Everybody seems fascinated with our SCO/EU number plates. It appears they don't get many Brit tourists outwith the main cruise ship ports. It seems such a waste that everybody speaks perfect English. Scots seem especially welcome. I had to s****** when a man, who had been chatting to Alison, told his wife 'Of course Scotland is in the EU!'. And so about 1555 we arrived at Herrgårdscamping ...
