... RV park was closed due to rain and standing water. Gas $3.53 to $3.59 on today's route. A 10-mile road repair stretch near Lincoln could put Alaska highway repairs to shame! 472 miles today, an unusual amount for we "Sunday drivers". Today's ride was a short, easy jaunt to Havre, MT, population: 9,310. We planned to spend the day together in the big city. I picked up a camera at KMart, stocked up on groceries at the Walmart, had Abby's bike tire fixed at Roger's bike shop, ate pizza, went on a tour ...

... hotel near Marias Pass. It was built in 1939 for the railroad workers, but it now serves tourists who have a love for the railroads. It features caboose and engine cabins that are amazingly well-appointed. You can climb the overpass and watch the trains pass right beneath you. Lunch was delicious.

We topped the pass and headed into the plains. It was hard to say good bye. We ended up boondocking in Havre. Tomorrow: the historical Montana.
