Some of you may know this, but US Highway 2 runs parallel to the BNSF tracks. OK, the tracks disappear here and there, but they're usually in sight. ... hotel near Marias Pass. It was built in 1939 for the railroad workers, but it now serves tourists who have a love for the railroads. It features caboose and engine cabins that are amazingly well-appointed. You can climb the overpass and watch the trains pass right beneath you. Lunch was delicious.
