... with one of the tech managers over another issue. First time at a BMW shop and I didn't spend a dime... Whoo hoo. I saw today what a boom town looks like. Most of Canada has been quiet, boring. Not this town, lots of new hotels, five stories tall, rooms shared by multiple workers, and every room filled. The paking lot is filled with muddy pickup trucks. Signs on the doors say don't enter with muddy boots. Let's see if I can get some real miles done ...

Oil is the name of the game around here! People, vehicles (mostly trucks), parking lots, roads are all covered with a fine film of gray. The soil is charcoal gray. We met young people ...

We drove past a coal mine with the railroad running coal cars directly through their plant. I also ...

Before I begin today's story, I want to let you know that you may not see posts everyday for the next 5-6 days. We will be on the Great Alaskan Highway and wi-fi is very spotty. Know that we are ok and if anyone needs to get in touch with us, Ben has his cell phone working when he has a signal and he will check emails to him on his phone.

It was 9:00 AM and off we went as we started day 14 of our Great Alaskan ...

... the GPS no longer recognizes where we are or loses its signal. We are unable to find The Happy Trails campground, no problem, we have phones. A call is made with only one signal bar and we are given directions to follow the Canadian flag by the overpass. There is a Canadian flag on every corner and no overpass! We call again, still with very little reception and understand her to say "turn right at the Costco." We follow her direction to get to the ...
