    ... warmer climate. It may snow again tomorrow so we are anxious to drop down out of the snow area. It has been below freezing all day, however we went out to the Grande Prairie Heritage museum and what did I spy? An Amateur Radio antenna and yes inside was a ham station! It was an excellent museum and it was great to see a lovely display of period wedding dresses.

    ... we put her next to, so I had a high start and then I got off by jumping onto a fence and climbing down. A real experience for a city gal.

    Our cousin came later in the day and took us all around to the old cemeteries and homesteads of the ancestors who came here and we had a nice lunch with he and his wife. It was quite a nice day.

    The main highlight of the morning was driving along the Icefield Parkway! Absolutely stunning views of lakes and glaciers. See the photos - they speak louder than words! Another highlight was the Athabasca Falls.

    We made one of our famous coffee stops along the way! We could have stayed there for hours - the view was spectacular! But, of course, we had to press on!

    Canada takes great care to protect wildlife. Every so often, they have constructed animal overpasses and underpasses. To the animals, these over/under passes appear very natural. They can easily get from one side of the highway to the other. We did spot an elk with velvet antlers on one ...

    Well, right now i am sitting in the Calgary airport waiting for the flight to London Gatwick Airport. Woke up today, (after going to bed at Midnight) at 4:30 am. Still had ALOT of packing to do, as I had a load of laundry in the wash.

    At around 5:30, am, my friend for work, Gena, came and picked me up to drive me to the Grande Prairie Airport. THANKS GENA!!!!!!!!
