Today we drove off the main highways for s change and it was so peaceful with no big trucks for a change. Coming through little towns one could be fooled into thinking we were in a different country. Avon, Geneva yes there is a Lake Geneva! We couldn't find an entry into this lake, but continued along the roqad to a national Park called Sampson, and a big lake, Seneca.

We are about 500 miles into the trip and are now camping just south of Watkins Glen in Corning, New York. Yes, Corning is the home of Corning glass. After leaving Canada for the final time this trip, I was cruising down through places like Watertown and Oswego when I saw this hall. Again, there was a car in the carpark indicating that someone was out witnessing, but there was no indication on the hall of what congregation meets there:

just so you know my timetable for an average day at camp;
- wake up at 7:00, shout at the kids to get them all in the showers, make their beds and get changed. then go in the shower myself because the showers are cold first thing in the morning and by the time all the campers have been in, the water is nice and warm.
- Breakfast at 8:00 - every morning i have pancakes with syrup and strawberry sauce (with actual strawberries) ...
... we got back to Watkins Glen, we decided we had time for a beer or two and found a really cool brewery called Rooster Fish. Blake had the Black Raven IPA (which he loved) and the Original Dark Nut Brown Ale. I had the Summer Sky, a Hefeweizen, and the Tripel Witch Belgian Tripel.
