... the Old Town has been perfect. Walk out the door and there are so many things to see and do.
Museums abound, walks along streets laden with fashion houses - no possible temptation there as we are already at the limit of airline weight allowances - churches, cathedral, basilica, river cruises - all add to the colours and flavours of such a charming city.
And the people really have been friendly and charming.

The repas is traditional Lyonaisse with the restaurant showing Photo's of the chefs family from years gone by back to the early 1800's with tiled walls, minute kitchen and proud hosts. Lunch seemed to skip us by as every town we stopped in to eat didn’t have a single restaurant open. Feeling slightly annoyed we powered on to Lyon and got into our accommodation with no problems.
