    ... we had a picnic dinner facing these wonderful views. Much better than any restaurant. And good food too. I had canned ratatouille, kidney beans and a bag of grated carrots with John eating tabouli a la France eg no parsley, no red onion but raisins instead. We shared a nice bottle of Bordeaux wine. A stressful day which ended calmly and nicely. Mind you we were nice to each other the whole day and did not allow external factors to stuff up our relationship. How good wasn't ...

    ... at the view and crashed into the barrier! Ben had a good laugh at this. Luckily only my pride was injured!

    At Yann’s recommendation we tried some of the local Lyon cuisine which included: Andouillette which is a pork sausage type thing served with mustard

    and Quenelle, a Fish flambé type dish. Both not something we would normally choose but surprisingly nice.

    ... out onto the Roman Theatre station.

    I got off at the roman theatre station. I walked along the street, and could not believe what I saw before my eyes. It was a magnificent, mostly intact Roman Theatre. I knew it had been there, but I hadn't known how amazing it would look, just sitting there on the hill. I walked to the theatre and climbed up the stairs.

    I had never felt so magical by simply climbing up a staircase.
