... up close, it was also weird. I found it shocking that cows had fallen through from above. This cave was also fun but not as good as the glow-worm cave.


The swimming pools at the campsite were amazing, and I enjoyed swimming in them. They had really hot pools, so dad had no excuses… so we had lots of fun.

On the way to Hamilton we stopped off at Cambridge. A beautiful place - very quiet, and also had many of the shops closed due to the holidays. After a cheeky look at what was open (and another yummy ice cream), we hit the road to Hamilton again.

... around the area . Once we had got ourselves settled we proceeded to visit the Maori Museum. A fabulous building built in the early 1900's as a hospital to utilise the healing properties of the thermal waters . In the basement are still the remains of the equipment and baths used for this purpose. The Maori exhibition is very enlightening, and the myths and legends although far fetched are very entertaining.
