Das erste mal trampen

Surf's Up?
... was in the middle of the bush what I didn’t quite realise was how far from everything it actually was. Rhi and I had planned to walk to the beach this morning then head to town in the afternoon before heading back, well I am glad that we got picked up on the way down the hostel’s driveway by one of the surf instructors – I think he was called Chris but I really cannot remember 100%.

Down on the farm

We helped out on the farm while we were in Raglan, and who knew it, farmers actually work really hard. The work we were allocated was pretty minor really mainly moving the sheep and lambs from one area of the yards/paddock to another. Steve had conviently left his gumboots in storage, so he was put to work in the house while I was in the stock yards.

The highlight was going to the hot beach in whitianga where we hired spades and dug holes in the sand which then filled with really hot water from the ground.
