... really interesting. Students can also graduate at the Marai which apparently is totally different to a traditional graduation ceremony- lots of singing and celebration. What I hadn’t realized is that Waikato is one of the places where Maori culture is strong; apparently in most of the South Island is it very different, with the white European (pakea) culture dominating.

... did pointing if you are expecting anything spectacular. Also they are 100% haunted as we both saw weird face like white orbs whilst looking around and had cold chills. We soon left after this! We ran out of time to go to Waitomo caves but would advise them instead of trying to be cheap like us. We stayed at Lake Ngaroto that night just south of Hamilton for our final night in the campervan. It was a nice campsite with a good walkway around the edge but you would not want to swim ...

... the slightly larger / faster waves, still catches them early, but with their extra speed they have here, I'm finding it harder to slash the tail round. So I've now swapped from a tiny quad to a 3 fin set-up, but using a small thruster as the centre fin, rather than a normal screw down centre fin. I've only tried it in smaller waves so far, I have to watch the take offs a little bit more, otherwise I find I can find myself spinning out straight from the take off.

... to paddle out back by himself, yes using his own two arms. He’s a bit of a kamikaze trying to take the biggest waves.
